Ahh so glad you enjoyed it Zan, and even more glad you’ve had such a good experience with IFS. If it’s not too much, was there anything in your IFS journey you found useful or expansive? Parts are so sneaky so I love to hear of others experiences!
Thank you for being really honest with the IFS therapy, I did some inner works on myself last year but do you think this data could be fallen into wrong hands? Being vulnerable is a strength but at what point it is enough? I'm really curious about being too much vulnerable and not being open up enough?
Hey Olivia, thanks so much for reading! For me, my thought process was that these parts are common elements in many people’s lives. It’s the essence of what it means to be human, and I wanted to honour that! I personally love openness and rawness and wished there was more of this out there, so I went for it. Working out how much to share is something deeply personal to each person and their individual circumstance. I know that doesn’t help you much with an answer to your question, but I also know how you feel because I’ve thought about similar questions while writing. I think above all else it’s important to find a way to assess that you’re completely comfortable with what you’ve written and it was for the right reasons (for example it’s out of service versus a way to offload a the pain of a wound). Hope that helps a bit!
I love IFS, Roc, and this was such a great description of the approach! I loved the map you created that showed how all these parts were connected... showing both the wholeness and the parts. Beautiful! I'm sure your therapist was impressed AF! :)
I absolutely loved this Roc - I've also found IFS incredibly helpful. So amazing to hear your raw story - it means a lot for you to share it with us!

Loved this deep dive and the different ways you mapped out your parts! Wonderful work you’re doing for and with yourself.
